Chapter 1

1 全能之主啊﹗我们父亲的上帝〔天主〕﹐亚伯拉罕〔阿巴郎〕的上帝〔天主〕﹐ 以撒〔依撒格〕的上帝〔天主〕﹐雅各〔雅各伯〕的上帝〔天主〕﹐列祖后嗣的上帝〔天主〕﹒

1 O Lord, Almighty God of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac,and Jacob, and of their righteous seed;

2 你创造了宇宙﹐及其光辉的一切﹒

2 who hast made heaven and earth, with all the ornament thereof;

3 大海服从你的命令﹐从不溢出域外﹒你那奇异的力量﹐你那荣耀的威名﹐镇住了海底探渊﹐使其各守本位﹒

3 who hast bound the sea by the word of thy commandment; who hast shut up the deep, and sealed it by thy terrible and glorious name;

4 你一显示力量﹐万物尽皆发抖﹒

4 whom all men fear, and tremble before thy power;

5 你那灿烂的光辉﹐盖世融融﹐你那无比的愤怒﹐罪犯难熬﹒

5 for the majesty of thy glory cannot be borne, and thine angry threatening toward sinners is importable:

6 然而你许下的怜悯﹐益发伟大﹐超过我们的理解力﹐高深莫测﹒

6 but thy merciful promise is unmeasurable and unsearchable;

7 你乃至高之主﹐你宽容忽耐﹐显示怜悯与同情﹒当我们因罪受刑时﹐你减轻对我们的惩罚﹐使其易于忍受﹒啊﹗主啊﹗在你大慈大悲中﹐你向那些悔罪者﹐许下宽恕与救助﹒

7 for thou art the most high Lord, of great compassion, longsuffering, very merciful, and repentest of the evils of men. Thou, O Lord, according to thy great goodness hast promised repentance and forgiveness to them that have sinned against thee: and of thine infinite mercies hast appointed repentance untosinners, that they may be saved.

8 你这位主啊﹗乃是义人的上帝〔天主〕﹒对于亚伯拉罕﹒以撒和雅各来说﹐忏悔是多余的﹐因为他们没有得罪你﹒可是对于像我这样的罪犯﹐你才使得﹐忏悔成为可行﹒

8 Thou therefore, O Lord, that art the God of the just, hast not appointed repentance to the just, as to Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, which have not sinned against thee; but thou hast appointed repentance unto me that am a sinner:

9 我犯的罪孽呀﹗超过海边的沙粒﹒主啊﹗它们如此之多呀﹒它们如此之多﹒忆往昔﹐我荒谬绝伦﹒我不配仰望苍天﹒

9 for I have sinned above the number of the sands of the sea. My transgressions, O Lord, are multiplied: my transgressions are multiplied, and I am not worthy to behold and see the height of heaven for the multitude of mine iniquities.

10 自身的罪孽呀﹗将我压垮﹔其沉重的铁链呀﹗令我低首躬身﹒我曾使你发怒﹐因此我找不到救助﹒我曾到能处竖偶像﹐我曾做事令你恨﹒

10 I am bowed down with many iron bands, that I cannot lift up mine head, neither have any release: for I have provoked thy wrath, and done evil before thee: I did not thy will, neither kept I thy commandments: I have set up abominations, and have multiplied offences.

11 可是现在呀﹗在深深的谦恭中﹐我鞠躬陡姗o祈求你的怜悯﹒

11 Now therefore I bow the knee of mine heart, beseeching thee of grace.

12 主啊﹗我犯过罪呀﹗我犯过罪﹔我忏悔往昔的恶行﹒

12 I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned, and I acknowledge mine iniquities:

13 主啊﹗我求求你﹐我招恼意地陡姗 饶了我吧﹐ 饶了我吧﹒切莫因我之罪灭我之身﹐切莫恨我无休止﹐切莫储存对我的惩罚﹒请不要判我归阴﹐啊﹗主啊﹗你赦免悔罪的人﹒

13 wherefore, I humbly beseech thee, forgive me, O Lord, forgive me, and destroy me not with mine iniquites. Be not angry with me for ever, by reserving evil for me; neither condemn me to the lower parts of the earth. For thou art the God, even the God of them that epent;

14 求你将宽恕怜悯﹐赐给我吧﹐救救我吧﹐尽管我愧对于此﹒

14 and in me thou wilt shew all thy goodness: for thou wilt save me, that am unworthy, according to thy great mercy.

15 此生此世啊﹗我要永远赞美你﹒全体天军唱赞歌﹐齐声赞美你﹐你的荣耀啊﹗万古长存﹒阿门﹒

15 Therefore I will praise thee for ever all the days of my life: for all the powers of the heavens do praise thee, and thine isthe glory for ever and ever. Amen.
